I read this article (http://www.slate.com/id/2198316/) a week ago and it really got me thinking. How does the US Government let the Ink/Toner industry totally FUCK us? And by "us" it applies to them (US GOV) as well. According to multiple sources HP Ink is the most expensive liquid on the face of the planet @ $8,000 per gallon!
Here is my open letter to the Ink & Toner Industry:
Fine you want to rape & charge us an arm and leg for ink/toner? Then don't tell us we have to change the toner when I still have plenty left. The video below proves my point:
So what can we do to prevent these conglomerates from putting it in us? Sure we can figure out techniques such as this one: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/laser/39806 but that can be a hassle. Sure we can also use the refill kits and if you ever used a refill kit you will know what a mess and waste of time & money it is. Another option is to buy refurbished ink & toner for a fraction of the cost but it can void your manufacture warranty as well as annoying you with messages that you do not have 'genuine' ink installed.
My question to you, the people who spend hundreds and companies that spend thousands of dollars a year on ink and toner is this: What can we do to stop these ASSHOLES (ink/toner companies) from raping us?
PLEASE post comments below because I have no idea where to start.
Thank You in Advance.
